All instruction is given by Jerry Sharp, an accomplished pilot with over twelve thousand hours of total time in more than thirty different aircraft types.  Jerry enjoys helping pilots understand and develop more confidence in their aircraft, specializing in making your flying more precise and easier at the same time which makes flying even more enjoyable.  Leaning how to use the Garmin 430 and 530 in real world scenarios in conjunction with the autopilot tends to make instrument flying more accurate and relaxing.  Becoming an aircraft manager by using your equipment efficiently allows you more time for situational awareness, more time to prepare for that challenging approach that is coming up and more time to evaluate the health of the aircraft such as determining if that high amperage reading indicates a problem that requires a quick solution or is due to the normal amperage draw of all the equipment that is currently operating.

After earning the Private Pilot certificate in 1972 and the Certified Flight Instructor certificate in 1975, Jerry has made a career out of what he loves to do -- flying and teaching others about flying.

Since moving to Florida, Jerry has conducted more than two hundred ground and flight training courses with Attitudes International, SimCom Training Centers, Aviation Training Management, as well as Advanced Flight Training International.  Jerry has also acquired hundreds of flight hours with Piper as a production test pilot on all of their models from the Meridian to the Warrior.

Jerry currently teaches initial (transition) and recurrent courses in the Aerostar, Meridian, Malibu, Mirage, Navajo, Cessna 340, 414, 421, Seneca, Baron 55 and 58, Bonanza, Saratoga and the Aztec.

"I have used Jerry Sharp twice for my recurrent training. Jerry knows more about the Piper Meridian than anyone else I have trained with.  I am sure his vast knowledge of the Meridian is due to the fact he is a former production test pilot for Piper.  Jerry's hands-on experience with the Meridian makes training with him an enlightening experience.  I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to really learn more about their Meridian and how to fly it safely."

"Jerry Sharp came to my airport and trained my two other pilots and me in my Cessna 340. He was prompt, courteous, and thorough.  In my employment I am part owner of a company that manages several corporate jets.  Throughout Jerry's training, our chief pilot and our director of operations each listened in to portions of the class. After Jerry finished up and left, they each told me the information they listened to was beneficial to them and that they wished some of our recurrent jet training classes were as thorough and professional as Jerry's.  He covered all aspects of systems operation and gave us an exam with over 100 questions about the airplane and related flying knowledge.  He went over each question in detail with us and made sure we understood the concept.  If you want to fly your airplane safely and with confidence, Jerry's training program is an essential part of your preflight preparation."

"I appreciate you coming to Omaha for my flight training. The things you taught me and brought to my attention definitely make my flights safer and more relaxed. I enjoyed working with you. I will refer other pilots to you and your training."
